Open Heavens

Just came back from a meeting (a Christian/church one) ... The heavens are like brass ... dry and no sign of clouds ... my spirit felt quenched ... dry and a very irksome/ vexed ... basically quenced ...

This question is now in my spirit ... what exactly opens up the heavens over a person's life, a ministry or a church and even an entire region and nation? ...

I heard Pastor preach about tithing a week ago or so. He mentioned the all familiar verse that says,

10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Hm.. Is it because we have robbed God of His tithes that the heavens are like brass? closed and feels like it's tightly shut? I really do wonder...

What about the intimacy we have with the Father? are we truly having His life flow through us? or are we merely being Christians by name and having no real power and authority in our lives...

"Lord, what exactly opens up the heavens and breaks that spiritual drought over a church? That rivers will start flowing in Your church once again..."
