Open Heavens

Just came back from a meeting (a Christian/church one) ... The heavens are like brass ... dry and no sign of clouds ... my spirit felt quenched ... dry and a very irksome/ vexed ... basically quenced ...

This question is now in my spirit ... what exactly opens up the heavens over a person's life, a ministry or a church and even an entire region and nation? ...

I heard Pastor preach about tithing a week ago or so. He mentioned the all familiar verse that says,

10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Hm.. Is it because we have robbed God of His tithes that the heavens are like brass? closed and feels like it's tightly shut? I really do wonder...

What about the intimacy we have with the Father? are we truly having His life flow through us? or are we merely being Christians by name and having no real power and authority in our lives...

"Lord, what exactly opens up the heavens and breaks that spiritual drought over a church? That rivers will start flowing in Your church once again..."

Let Your Glory and honour... Fall on our face

During today's service, we cried out... I pray that we will continue crying out for God's mercy on our land.. and ask for revival.. Let Your glory and honour, fall on our face. Holy Father, rest in this place.

Father, listen to our earnest prayer
Jesus prayed it years ago
That the glory You had given Him
We would somehow come to know
So make us one according to Your plan
As in heaven it will be
Fill us with the truth and righteousness
You desire the world to see

Let Your glory and honor
Fall on our face
Holy Father
Rest in this place

The church is sick and need of God alone
And people we must seek His face
If we turn from all our unrighteousness
Hell forgive our evil ways
So may the eyes of God be on us here
Lord, revive us by Your grace
Holy Spirit be forever near
Saturate us in this place

Let Your glory and honor
Fall on our face
Holy Father
Rest in this place

Let the fire fall
Let the wind blow
Let the glory come down

Sunday

Woke up this morning just wanting to go through a Sunday, Church and all, then come back home to rest and to study bit.. Examinations are coming up for me in a while.. actually, very soon.. But instead, today was quite a nightmare..

Anyway, haven't been sharing much but I did take up a job at a place which was "Christian", and found out to my dismay that they had a boss with a unique character.. Well, shall not elaborate, but still, i took it up just to see where God carries me to from here..

all I could say is that things really seem to get difficult.. Pastor shared about being joyful in your circumstances, and my cell mates encouraged me with it too, but I just seem rather depressed with what's been going on today.. Well, one song carried me through till now... Just did a search and found out (again) that it's written by an anointed worship team and church in Indonesia, True Worshipers...

Thank You for the cross that You have made
For all my sins You sacrificed yourself
I am nothing Lord without Your grace
You were there to lift me when i fall

As I lift my hands, pour Your mercy oh God
Longing for Your presence now
As I lift my hands, pour Your mercy oh God
Longing for Your presence now

I surrender all
I will follow You
I surrender all
Bring my life to You

I surrender all
Lay my life for You
I surrender all
I surrender all

To You Jesus

Yes Lord, I surrender ALL, to You Jesus. I will take up this cross and follow You.

Awesome Presence of God

It's been very long.. The presence of God was awesome tonight.. It's one of those moments you know and you know He is in the place.. Cried for the first few songs, then we all started to pray in the spirit.. Amazing.

Come Holy Spirit...

Hm... I haven't been blogging for a while now, especially on this blog, but as I decided just to return here, I'm suddenly moved by this song once again... Come Holy Spirit...

Come Holy Spirit fall on me now
I need Your anointing come in Your Power
I love You Holy Spirit, You're captivating my soul
And everyday, I grow to love You more

I'm reaching for Your heart
You hold my life in Your hand
Drawing me closer to You
I feel Your power renew
Nothing compares to this place
Where I can see You face to face
I worship You, in spirit and in truth

Truly, nothing compares to this place, where I can see Him face to face... I've been thinking much about worship lately... Hm... Been asking myself and God this... " Why does Your presence come so strongly and breakthroughs and the 'flow' come quickly in some instances, some places and seemingly some Churches but in other places, breakthroughs and the presence of God seem distant in others... What's hindering and blocking God from moving amongst us Lord... ??? "

Is there an awesome place where people come to and there's such an open heaven where God can move freely and His angels minister to us too... ?? I believe so... Genesis 28 describes how Jacob "stumbled upon" this place and is changed forever and ever!! Yeah! I wanna be in that place yea! That place where You behold Him in all His splendor and all His majesty, where you cannot but exclaim, "God! You're here in this place! Such an awesome previlege to be standing here before Your very presence! " Believe you'll be FOREVER CHANGED as you enter into that place... Well, I remembered this sermon that I heard from Cornerstone (Online... ) And it talks about "Creating an Atmosphere for God to Move"... notice this, it's not "making God move" but "creating an atmosphere... for God to move" ... It's about preparing ourselves and preparing the spiritual climate for God to move in... Yes! We can create an atmosphere that allows God to move freely and unhindered in our midst... And it's not about forcing God and His very presence down but preparing a place for God to move in... Yup, i've included the link below... Go check it out ya....

In the World ... But NOT OF the World??

Today was my first time in a pub!!!  ...  can you imagine that!? haha... yes, anyway, I've been fasting and praying for the past week and it has been an exciting and rewarding journey with the Lord. And today as I went out with this totally different group of friends, I started to realise the struggles many Christians have, to live out their Christian identity and yet to not compromise on the call to a holy life. He said, "Be holy, because I am holy." ... Well, God didn't call us out of the world and live seperate from the world... God calls us to be salt and light in this world we live in...

To be in the world, yet not of the world;
To live in the midst of darkness, yet not in darkness;
Living in the light;
To be the light of the earth

" Oh Lord, help me to live as the light of the world and as a lamp on a stand cannot be hidden, so Lord, bring me out into the world and the darkness so that I can shine for You. Nevertheless, let me never be conformed to this world nor it's standards but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. All this i ask, in Your Son's most precious Name, Jesus Christ! Amen! "
